You will see the application of the remote collar in a wide variety of training scenarios, from basic obedience to retrieval, agility and protection work. Inc. offers two programs in remote collar education each designed to fit the individual needs of the student: A three-week immersion program and a one-week introductory program. STAFF The diverse backgrounds of our team members provides a wide range of offerings drawing on accomplishments, not theory. We train with experts in their respective fields of the dog community, keeping our perspectives and approaches modern and practical. With over 60 years of combined dog care and training experience, the E-cademy staff can confidently guide you in the direction that you want to take your business. Our team’s experiences include: work in the veterinary community, public speaking engagements, seminar and workshop presentations, as well as explosives detection and canine support for the Presidential Helicopter Squadron (HMX-One). FACILITY The facility at That's My Dog, Inc. encompasses seven acres in the picturesque countryside of Southwest Wisconsin – just minutes from Dubuque, Iowa and Galena, Illinois – providing an environment conducive to learning. Students have access to both indoor and outdoor training areas, full kennel facilities, and an agility and working dog obstacle course. We have a student lounge that offers a reference library of books and periodicals, DVD and video viewing and wireless internet access. Our commitment to continued learning keeps us at the forefront of new trends while still respecting the history of those who have come before us. ONGOING BENEFITS OF OUR SCHOOL We strongly believe in supporting our graduates' continued success. THREE-WEEK PROGRAM This program is a full immersion into the training and business operation of remote collar dog training. It is designed to teach remote collar utilization in a variety of disciplines as well as educates on how to set up programs of instruction for private lessons, group lessons and board and train programs. The participant is exposed to basic and advanced remote collar work as well as taught the trained retrieve. Curriculum includes work with green dogs, teaching both private and group lessons, and honing demonstration skills. It also includes education on the latest equipment advances, proven marketing strategies, and discussion on why dogs understand this system and why it works so well. Tuition: $5,000.00 (includes hotel accommodations) 2007 Dates April 16th – May 5th June 4th – June 22nd July 9th – July 27th October 8th – October 26th ONE-WEEK PROGRAM This program is designed for the professional already working in the dog world who is looking to either implement remote collar training into their existing program or expand on the remote collar skills they already have. It is designed for the individual who is not able to attend the full three-week course. This intensive week program is formatted to include introducing green dogs to the remote collar, how to set up a basic obedience program structured around remote collar utilization, problem solving, and educating the public on this service.
